Tuning your vehicle is an exciting step toward unlocking its full performance potential. However, if your vehicle isn’t in proper working condition—whether due to mechanical issues, low fluid levels, or general maintenance concerns—it can lead to delays, incomplete results, or additional charges for repairs.

To ensure a smooth and effective dyno session, and to avoid extra fees, please make sure your vehicle meets the following requirements before your scheduled appointment:

  • Does your engine, or transmission have any running issues, misfires, check engine codes? Please contact us if you have any questions prior to your appointment.
  • Install new spark plugs, either OE, or correct heat range for your modifications, Please contact us if you need a recommendation.
  • Perform compression test and leak down test.
  • Inspect spark plug wires for touching exhaust, heat wrap, and heat coverings do not stop damage. Only an airgap will prevent your spark plug wires from burning up.
  • Battery – If it requires a jump start, replace it – your electronics on your vehicle depend on a reliable power source, damage may result to your electronics from a weak/dead battery.
  • Make sure basic maintenance has been performed, including oil change, transmission fluid change, differential change, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, etc.
  • Make sure all fluid levels are at the appropriate level, including fuel, engine oil, coolant, transmission, transfer case, differential, brake fluid, clutch fluid, power steering, etc.
  • Fuel – Remember the fuel in the tank is the fuel the vehicle will be tuned on. Most cars consume 2-3 gallons of fuel during the tuning process – make sure you have enough!
  • Street tuning is included in all tune prices weather depending and vehicle dependent. for successful road tuning please make sure all tires and wheels are in good shape, balanced, alignment, working brakes, working lights, current tags, and drivers seat.
  • Check for any fluid leaks, excessive unforeseen leaks will prompt a clean up fee, Minor drips are easily managed and tidied up are OK.
  • Driveline/Driveshaft/U-joints – most factory applications need not worry, swapped vehicles must take care to have a driveshaft installed that is capable to handle the speed the vehicle will be operated at. Speed kills shafts before HP does in most situations.
  • Vehicles with aftermarket fuel injectors – When in doubt, have them flowed and cleaned prior to tuning. Injectors sitting with E85/Methanol/Race gas for more than a period of 4 weeks should be serviced prior to tuning.
  • Make sure you have at least 18″ of exhaust after your oxygen sensor, and zero exhaust leaks in front of your sensor for accurate readings.
